TAT Day 22

Posted: July 30, 2010 in TAT

We left the trail for a bit this morning so we could go check out Crater Lake. I am glad we did, it was really impressive. After lots of pictures at the lake, we headed back onto the trail. For the most part, we had some very nice roads today. We also had the gnarliest hill climb of the trip. Steep and sandy with big rocks thrown in. And of course, we couldn’t get through the Oregon section of the TAT without a few reroutes due to non-existent roads. We are moteling it tonight, and just got back from dinner at a Mexican restaurant. My finger is less purple and the swelling is going down so I can move it more now. We should be in Port Orford tomorrow afternoon!
